The awRev Advance Wars Design Maps Database contains 1,351 community-created map entries drawn from restored historical collections and approved current submissions.
Players can browse and search by map title, creator, gameplay category, game, map size, number of players, and tags. Depending on the surviving or submitted material, an entry may include an image, creator attribution, description, metadata, categories, a downloadable map file, and community comments.
The database currently contains 70 awRev/current entries and 1,281 recovered AWN Design Maps. The category data includes competitive, campaign, themed, experimental, multiplayer, and other custom-map classifications.
The database combines maps from the original 2005–2007 awRev community, recovered AWN Design Maps, and approved current submissions. awRev also hosts Advance Wars guides, walkthroughs, community resources, and the current Design Maps submission system.
Historical maps are presented as works created by individual community members in the context of their original era. Their inclusion in the database does not imply current endorsement by awRev of a map's subject matter, description, historical interpretation, political framing, or other viewpoints expressed by its creator.
The database keeps historical and current maps searchable in one system while preserving creator attribution where available. Contributor pages, map metadata, categories, comments, and current submissions provide the surrounding context.
