Indian Subcontinent, December 1971.
The Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 grew out of the political crisis in East Pakistan, where demands for greater autonomy were met with military repression by the government in West Pakistan. As millions of refugees fled into neighboring India and violence escalated, the Bengali independence movement declared the creation of Bangladesh.
In December 1971, India entered the conflict in support of the Bangladeshi liberation movement. Fighting erupted on both the eastern and western fronts, while the Indian Navy and Air Force quickly established strategic superiority. Within just thirteen days, Pakistani forces in East Pakistan surrendered, leading to the independence of Bangladesh and one of the most decisive military victories of the twentieth century.
This scenario recreates the conflict that reshaped South Asia, allowing players to command either the Indian-Bangladeshi coalition or the Pakistani military in an alternate struggle for the future of the region.
Will history repeat itself, or will you forge a different future for the Indian subcontinent?
