Advance Wars Revolution

The old awRev Battalion Wars walkthrough by Da_Nut has now been restored and reposted on the site.

The guide has been updated with internal mission links, cleaner formatting, and improved navigation while preserving the original walkthrough content and structure.

It’s also a fun reminder that awRev was already branching slightly beyond Advance Wars back in the mid-2000s, with Battalion Wars fitting naturally alongside the broader Nintendo Wars strategy ecosystem.

Also newly restored: Syzygy’s massive 2006 AWDS Hawke analysis guide, now cleaned up and reformatted for modern readability.

Restoring continuity, one guide at a time.

More community features are now live on awRev. Registered users can now submit guides and fanfiction directly through the site for review.

The Guides section has also expanded with five recovered guides from the old awRev and AWB era, including several classic walkthroughs and strategy guides that are now publicly available again.

There is still a lot more planned, but the goal is for awRev to become an active place for Advance Wars maps, guides, fanfiction, discussion, and community projects again over time.

awRev is back! The Design Maps section currently contains 1,350 maps, including original awRev maps and AWN maps.

Community features are now live. You can browse maps, leave comments and recommendations, upload your own maps directly through the site, and reconnect with other Advance Wars players, creators, and longtime community members. We also now have an official Discord server.

Advance Wars Revolution is back. Original walkthroughs and design maps from both the awRev and AWN archives are live again, alongside new Re-Boot Camp walkthroughs (GameFAQs FAQ of the Month) and full YouTube playthroughs covering every campaign and War Room mission.

An Advance Wars: Dual Strike walkthrough and full video playlist are already in progress, with more content and features on the way. I wanted to preserve what everyone built here and turn it into something active again. Community features will also be coming in the near future.

A lot of us spent years on awRev, forums, map sites, and IRC/Discord communities talking strategy, sharing maps, arguing tier lists, posting screenshots, and playing Advance Wars way more seriously than we probably should have. Bringing awRev back felt like a good way to reconnect some of that community history while also giving the series an active home again.
