Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean, Alternate Timeline.
Long-standing rivalries and competing regional ambitions have pushed Italy and Turkey into open conflict. Both nations seek control of the Balkans, the Adriatic Sea, and the eastern Mediterranean, where strategic ports, vital sea lanes, and mountain passes could determine the balance of power throughout southeastern Europe.
Although inspired by real geography, this scenario depicts a fictional war rather than a historical conflict. Players must coordinate naval operations, secure key transportation corridors, and capture major cities while preventing the enemy from establishing dominance across the region.
Adapted from the World War II campaign map Balkans Invasion, this version reimagines the battlefield as a balanced two-player contest while preserving the strategic terrain that made the original scenario memorable.
Will Italy dominate the Balkans, or will Turkey emerge as the region's leading power?
