Mission #6: The Yellow Comet Decoy
Flak invades Yellow Comet as a diversion while Sonja springs a trap.
Black Hole CO: Flak
Yellow Comet CO: Sonja
Conditions: Fog of War
Objectives: Black Hole must occupy the beach in the middle and defeat Sonja. There must be at least one unit there at all times during the mission. If Sonja routs all forces in the middle, the mission is a failure.
Premission Dialogue:
Hawke: Hm... are you sure?
Adder: Positive. That little snoop Sonja has been nosing around here lately. We need to do something fast, before she starts leaking all our information!
Hawke: Yes, that must be taken care of immediately... Hm, I think I have an idea. Send me Flak.
Flak: So Hawke, what's goin' on?
Hawke: We have a problem. There are reports that Sonja is spying on us. We need to distract her while we carry out operations.
Flak: Ok. What do you want me to do?
Hawke: I want you to put some of our forces in Yellow Comet. Give her something else to worry about. Whatever you do, don't let her realize that you're a distraction. Act like you want to invade.
Flak: Sure! No problem! I'll smash those worms good n' hard! They'll learn not to mess with the best! Ha! Let's go!
Adder: Well... he seemed... upbeat.
Hawke: I hope his recent victory against Kanbei hasn't gone to his head.
Adder: Heh heh heh... that was a joke right?
Hawke: ...
Adder: Oh... sorry... of course.
Black Hole, Day 1:
Flak: Ha! That was easy! We took this beach in no time flat! I'm unstoppable.
Sonja: Not so fast. You are the former Black Hole CO, Flak, are you not?
Flak: Former? What you talkin' about? And hey! That's Big Flak to you!
Sonja: Yes... you could only be Flak. You greatly accel at power... but are lacking in intellegence.
Flak: Huh? What's that?
Sonja: Take a look around. Didn't you suspect something was up after moving in so quickly? There was hardly any resistance. But that was the intention.
BH Soldier: Commander Flak! Battleships! Subs! Medium Tanks! We're surrounded!
Flak: HUH!? No way!
Sonja: Now that you're surrounded, I suggest you surrender.
Flak: Surrender huh? Never gonna happen! Prepare to get stomped!
Sonja: Guess I will have to teach you the meaning of the word "trapped".
BH Soldier: Sir! What will we do?
Flak: You heard what Hawke said! We're gonna keep swinging until we're out of this mess! Show this worm the meaning of Flak Power! The only way we're gonna get into Yellow Comet is that beach! Don't lose it even for a second!
Black Hole Defeat:
Flak: How'd you do that worm? I was on a roll!
Sonja: Please, you barely had a chance. If you had any sense, you would make strong units to hold the center. Taking out any battleships would take second priority, and please, you'll need every neutral property you can get your hands on.
Flak: ... Whatever! I'm just gonna smash the whole lot of you!
Sonja: *Sigh* I see you're a stubborn one.
Flak: Hey! I'm not scared of heights!
Black Hole Victory:
Flak: Whew... We did it!
Sonja: This is impossible. How did you?
Flak: Yap yap yap! You talk too much! If you knew anything, you'd know it takes action and strenght to get stuff done!
Sonja: No... it takes planning. Careful planning...
Flak: Oh yeah? Look where your careful planning got you!
Sonja: Oh no... could it be? I underestimated my enemy? Father will not like this at all... I must warn everyone else. Next time... I will be much more careful.
Flak: Whatever! This whole country is weak! I'll take all of you! Ha!
BH Soldier: Sir! Further orders from Hawke! He wants us to hold position inside Yellow Comet.
Flak: ... Alright. Let's move out then!
