The year 1942. The nowadays called Indonesia is in the hands of the Dutch, when the Japanese have taken the British harbor of Singapore. Now they prepare to steam on the the Dutch-Indies, rich on resources like oil, gold, diamonds and silver. Under the slogan "Asia for the Asians" the Japanese march to war. Rebellious Indonesians, most of them teenagers, called pemudas, revolt because they belive in the Japanese. You are the Commander in chief of the KNIL, (Koninklijk Nederlands Indië Leger, in English the Royal Dutch-Indies Army) and must stop the Japanese army and surpress the revolt of the pemundas.
