This is my second 'Remake' of said map, and is based on another map based on the hall of fame original. The problem with the original was simply that for the theory - just move to another island if you're overrun - there weren't enough islands to use, so I made a variation in which there were a lot more islands (as in, went overboard). There were about 20 islands in that one, and when I decided to make this one, I whittled that down. Now, its back to symmetry, but not so much that its too even. If you're being overrun, you're always fine provided you've still got infantry left (hint - infantry > all for unit targeting order when attack an island). Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use Drake on this, he makes it far too easy and unless everyone else is drake then its really pushing the limits. I've got no background, just that I made it as a more rational remake of a fun map I spent 8 straight hours playing against 3 friends (seriously). Whenever one of us took an island, we'd find ourselves under attack by rockets that a 3rd party had placed on a nearby island, which later turned out to be the ones that had weakened the island you'd just occupied so you actually had a chance to occupy it. I won (if only because I shelled up on 3 islands while my friends attacked each other on the other 15 or so), and eventually got enough funds to spam bships and subs till everyone was either dead or dying. The other beauty of this is that since its absolute attrition, no HQ capture, the cities that the other people have aren't given to you when you knock off their final unit. Sorry guys, but killing the economaniac's only going to remove a rival here. --- Enjoy! I'll post the Old Ver. later.
