Mr. E

Tidbits

Involvement with AW fansites

Mr. E's involvement with Advance Wars started around 2003, with the acquisition of Advance Wars 2. He loved the game immensely, but it provided a bit of trouble to him. While looking for guides, he stumbled upon a bunch of fansites, namely Advance Wars Net, Advance Wars Bunker, and AW Revival. He visited the sites rather frequently, using the assorted guides and tools to help himself along in the game. Unfortunately, his real life eventually caught up with him, and he was forced to retire from visiting the sites for some time.

In 2005, Mr. E surfed for info on Advance Wars Dual Strike, when he stumbled upon the fansite links once again. He was quite surprised at first that the sites he visited so many years earlier were still alive and kicking. Having nothing better to do, he lurked on the assorted forums for quite some time, until finally, on February 2006, he decided he should just join one of the forums if he was going to visit them so much- at the very least, he could be another voice, rather than just an observer. After a bit of consideration, Mr. E joined the Advance Wars Revolution forums, where he remains to this day.

The Life

In the real world, Mr. E is a college student who lives semi-independently from his parents. He frequently participates in various clubs and activities, although there are times where he'd rather be alone. Mr. E is subject to random daydream attacks, which usually happen when he's bored in certain classes. His life has been rather uneventful- aside from his overbearing parents, Mr. E has never had any real problems.

Personality

On the forums, Mr. E is a typical member, one who contributes his views and has fun. He mostly exists within the Community forum group, and frequents Flak's Bedroom and its subforums. Mr. E is friendly to just about everyone, and tries to not create any dissention between anyone.

Off the forums, Mr. E is a quiet, passive individual who prefers routine over change. While most of the time he likes to act loose and funny, he can get serious if a situation calls for it. He seems to have a penchant for surprising people when he acts in a way that's atypical to what the people know him as. Mr. E absolutely hates fighting and arguing, and when confronted with these situations, he is usually quick to either break it up or find somewhere to hide. His greatest strengths seem to be quick thinking and quick comprehension- when given a problem, he can usually solve it much faster that others.

Mr. E's favorite things

In progress.

Games

  • Burnout 3: Takedown: The game that renewed Mr. E's interest in the racing genre, he loves this game due to its amazing gameplay and incredible speed. It's one of the few games he still plays to this day.
  • Ratchet & Clank series: This series was of particular interest to Mr. E, due to its combination of platforming, gunplay and humor. He considers Up Arsenal to be one of the finest games created.
  • Sly series: Containing good platforming qualities and tons of charm, Mr. E urges you to play this game.
  • Panzer Orta: One of the best rail shooters made, good looking and long-lasting.
  • Need for Speed: Most: Police pursuits, enough said.
  • Paper series: Mr. E found it very good due to its inherent charm and surprising simplicity.
  • Golden series: The best old-school style new-school RPG.

Movies & TV

  • Pirates of the Caribbean series: Being a movie based on a theme park ride, Mr. E thought the movie would flop, like most other recent Disney productions. He was pleasently surprised to be proven wrong.
  • Spider-Man 2: Despite all the melodramaticness, Mr. E thought this improved considerably from the first one, and considers this to be the greatest superhero movie ever.
  • CSI: Mr. E liked that the crime show wasn't afraid to be a bit graphic, and possessed a myriad of intriging characters.
  • NCIS: It contained smart, snappy dialouge, and it was wholly enjoyable for Mr. E.
  • House: Mr. E watched this mostly to see how Dr. House would interact with everyone.
  • Mythbusters: Simply crazy, Mr. E watches this show mostly because the people there do things he only wished he could do at home.

Pastimes

  • Reading: Books are cool for Mr. E. So are magazines and newspapers.
  • Writing: Mr. E likes to write random things in his free time.
  • Drawing: It's what most of his motivation turns into.
  • Watching TV: Because sometimes, Mr. E just needs to give his mind a break.
  • Surfing the internet: Duh.

Miscallany

  • Real of Genius: A fine blend of satire and sarcasm, Mr. E actually collects these radio ads because they're so enjoyable.
  • Azumanga: One of the best anime Mr. E has watched, it has a good sense of humor and endearing characters.
  • Sprite: Mr. E likes its taste.
  • Reeses peanut butter cups: Practically an addiction for Mr. E.
  • Pumpkin pie: See above.
  • Math: His favorite subject, and most certainly his forte.
  • Physics: His second favorite subject.

Random

  • Mr. E used to be left-handed, but he became right-handed for reasons unknown.
  • Mr .E is double jointed. He likes freaking people out with that.
  • Mr. E's younger brother is taller than he is. His younger sister used to be taller than he was as well.
  • If there's anything Mr. E hates more than anything else, it's the Disney, as it has a tendency to churn out cookie-cutter TV shows and bland made-for-TV movies.
  • Mr. E has a rather abnormal fear of dogs.
  • AwRev is the second forum Mr. E has actively participated in- Gaia was the first.
  • The name Mr. E is merely wordplay. It has so significant meaning.
  • Mr. E is member number 400. He honestly did not try for that.
