Is anyone else a little disappointed that they didnt add another type of footsoldier in. Granted it probably would've been unnecessary it would've at least put a little extra spice into using infantry COs considering now they got nerfed up big time from 30-40% to 10% or 20% extra firepower.

Medics or a Mechanic type infantry would be kinda cool... or like a "strike" squad that can be stealthy have a type of hide command. Hmmmm, possibly mortars. Not really sure 'bout anything else.

Nope, I'm not dissapointed with it. I never considered the idea of another infantry division at all. :) But now that you do bring it up, it'd be welcomed.

No. Snipers.
Think about it. People claim that snipers "would prevent mech floods". Well, how does the lone sniper defend the horde of mechs? Sure, the player could always build more snipers... only to have the mechs retreat and get backed up by artillery and tanks. The mechs are now still useful, while the snipers won't be after the tanks arrive. Artillery are already good enough against mechs. The only things snipers would do are: 1. Nerf Sami even further. Not necessary. 2. Discourage proper usage of infantry, and perhaps even encourage mech floods to trick the enemy into constructing this unit. Both are bad things. ...how about a mortar unit instead? It could require the use of infantry to budge them out of mountains. |
